Parks & Recreation Department
The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the operation of the Town's facilities and parks. The Department maintains over 200 acres of parks and green space throughout the community. This includes mowing, tree pruning, weed control, fertilizing, litter control, playground maintenance and baseball diamond maintenance.
The Parks and Recreation Department has many full time, part time and seasonal staff working throughout various areas including ice rinks, parks, trails, Tot Lot, Dillabough Center, campground, museum, cemetery, ball diamonds as well as programming and administration.

Battleford Tot Lot
Wading pool for children under age 11. Children under age 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
Open from June 1 (weather permitting) until approximately August 20.

Eiling Kramer Campground
Campground offering electric campsites with showers, firewood, water and sewage disposal. A picnic area and playground is also available.

Fred Light Museum
Museum features local history, native artifacts, firearms and first and second World War uniforms.
Open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm from the May long weekend to the September long weekend.

Battleford Flats Park
Offers slo-pitch, softball, minor ball and soccer rental. A canteen and beer garden site are also available.

The public cemetery is located on Hwy #16 West. The Cemetery bylaw contains information concerning cemetery and monument regulations, requirements and care of graves. This is available from Town Hall, (306) 937-6200.
The Town of Battleford offers a Memorial Wall to remember loved ones whom may have lived here or left some sort of legacy behind but are resting elsewhere.

The Town of Battleford built their first Columbaria in 2013. The beautiful granite Columbaria is double sided with 24 niches per side measuring 12x12x14". Two internments per niche is permitted, however there is limited space in the niche so be careful when choosing larger urns (please ensure to check with the Funeral Home first).
