Councillor McLean Tady
I have been a resident of the Town of Battleford for twenty-three years. Presently I am working with Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers. My husband Doug and I own and operate Tady Holdings Ltd. We deliver Saputo Dairy Products in the Battlefords and surrounding area. We have two sons; our eldest son is married with two children and currently resides in Ponoka, AB. Our youngest son convocated from the University of Saskatchewan and is in Saskatoon.

I have worked in the municipal field for fifteen years; seven and a half were in Battleford Town Hall office. My electoral experience includes seven years as Town Councilor for the Town of Battleford and eight years as Town Councillor in Denholm where I owned and operated the Denholm General Store. I served five years for The Battlefords School Division as a Trustee where I saw the School Division through two amalgamations.

My vision for the Town of Battleford includes the continued growth and sustainability of the business community. With the growth of the business community we will have retention of young families and the continued need for employment; thus encouraging the increase in population for our town. One of my goals is to ensure the services that our residents are currently receiving are not lost as we progress forward with the growth of our town.

I would like to continue to provide our residents, both young and old, with the safe environment that they have become accustomed. We can achieve this by working closely with local law enforcement and community groups.

I believe I have a responsibility to stand up and make a difference by sharing my municipal knowledge and experience. Continuity on council is essential as three of the Town's senior management have retired in the last eighteen months. I know I can bring a positive perspective in my role as Councillor with the Town of Battleford.

Currently I serve on the Battlefords Historic Opera House Gallery Inc., and the Fred Light Museum Board.
