Crosswalk Safety Awareness

The Town of Battleford Public Works Department is pleased to announce the completion of the Pedestrian Activated LED Crosswalk Signs.

This enhancement aims to increase driver awareness and provide safety for residents using walking trails.

New Crosswalk Locations

The two new pedestrian crossings are located at:

• Walking trail crossing 2nd Ave. - 35th St. W 
• Walking trail at 1st Ave - Battle springs (by the Pump Track)

These new LED signs are activated by pedestrians, providing a highly visible signal to approaching vehicles.

On behalf of the Town, we would like to acknowledge funding that was secured through the Provincial Traffic Safety fund program for $17,253.90. Its purpose is to stimulate and support local, cooperative action that will increase Traffic Safety awareness and reduce traffic injuries and fatalities within Saskatchewan.
