How to Apply for a Permit

We process all developments and building applications through a simple three-step system. Follow these steps to ensure your project gets approved without delays:

1. Download Your Package

Scroll to the bottom of this page to find our Permit Packages.  Download and open the specific package that matches your project type (e.g., Residential, Deck, Commercial).

2. Complete the Forms

Fill out all required applications and structural drawings included in your package.
⚠️ Note: Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Please ensure all fields are filled out before submitting.

3. Submit to Town Hall

Submit your completed application directly to the Town for review.  You can do this in one of two ways:

  • By Email: Send your digital package to noreen@battleford.ca
  • In Person: Drop off your printed package directly at Town Hall.

Once received, our team will review your paperwork and forward your application directly to the Town's Community Planners and Building Inspector for approval.  We will contact you as soon as your permit is ready or if we require further details.

 

Bylaws, Policies & Zoning Maps

Before you start designing your project, please check our local zoning bylaws and community plans to make sure your project meets local requirements.

⚠️ Important Notice: While we work to keep our digital files updated, the online Zoning Map may not reflect the most recent local amendments. Always contact the Planning Department directly to verify the exact, current zoning of a specific property before proceeding with structural or commercial purchases.
