Outdoor Fire Appliance
In Town of Battleford, if you plan to use an outdoor fire appliance, such as a fire pit, you do require a permit. The purpose of the permit is to ensure that outdoor fires are conducted safely, minimizing the risk of fire spreading and causing harm or property damage.
Here's what you need to know about outdoor fire appliance permits:
- Permit Requirement: A permit is necessary before using an outdoor fire pit for the first time. There is no cost for the permit. Get your permit at Town Hall or print the form and email it to firedept@battleford.ca.
- Inspection: Once your outdoor fire appliance is installed, but before you use it, it must be inspected and approved by the Battleford Fire Department. Submit online form to request a Fire Services inspection.
Existing Fire Pits
If you have moved into a property with an existing outdoor fire appliance, submit the form to check if it has already been approved. You are responsible for ensuring any fire appliance on your property is compliant and used safely.
