Transition to Monthly Utility Billing & New 2026 Rates

The Town of Battleford is moving to a monthly utility billing cycle to help residents better manage their household budgets with smaller, more frequent payments.
What is Changing?
Per Bylaw No. 11-2025, the Town has updated its water and sewer rates. Most notably, minimum consumption charges have been eliminated, ensuring you only pay for what you use.
Key Billing Dates
- January 2026: This will be your final quarterly bill.
- February 2026: Monthly billing begins at the end of the month.
Important Payment Timelines
To avoid service interruptions, please be aware of the following schedule unpaid balances:
- End of Month: Utility bill are due (from the previous month)
- 1st of Following Month: A 2.5% penalty is applied to any unpaid balance.
- 20th of the Month: Service disconnections begin to unsettled accounts.
- Reconnection: A $150 fee applies, and the full balance plus the fee must be paid in person at Town Hall before service is restored.
