To accommodate those properties who have larger volumes of garbage than typical properties, such as registered group homes, senior care homes, day care homes, large families and other home-based businesses, Town of Battleford offers an option to purchase a second garbage bin.
How to purchase an extra bin
Extra bins must be purchased at Town Hall. Town Hall payment methods include debit card, cash or cheque, credit cards are NOT accepted. An extra $24.00 per quarter will be charged to your utility bill.
What happens if we don't need the extra bin or we are moving?
Extra bins may be returned to the Town upon the closing of the home-based business. Large families may return the extra bin upon the sale of the property.
As per policy W-67-2020, there is no refund of the purchase price when the garbage bin is returned. The environmental levy will be removed from the account.
Bin deliveries are on Fridays. Bins must be paid in full before delivery.
