The Battlefords River Valley is jointly maintained by the Town of Battleford and the City of North Battleford. The River Valley on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River boasts more than 19km of beautifully manicured paved and grass trails.

Summer recreational use includes mowed trails for walking and bicycling. The Pee Gee Man trail to the east of the boat launch offers a challenging mountain biking experience.

The trails on Finlayson Island are a popular location for day-use activities such as bird watching, dog walking, hiking, fishing, and provide access to the river's extensive sandbars.

In Winter months, Trails are groomed for cross-country skiing. No Motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail system.
